Brent joined Farmanco in December 2009 and is based in Albany. For the last 14 years Brent worked for Elders (Katanning and Albany) and for the last 8 years was the WA Senior Agronomist, charged with mentoring and providing training for the agronomy team. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons) Brent worked for the Dept Agriculture as an Advisor at Manjimup and Lake Grace, giving him 18 years industry experience.
Brent’s career so far has provided a great wealth of experience in the medium to high rainfall cropping and pastures zones. His focus over the last few years has been on canola and cereal systems, especially integrated pest and weed management. However, he still has a passion for the livestock and pasture systems.
Although Brent’s daily activities revolve around production issues, the opportunity to be involved with a network of marketing and financial consulting specialists will add to his appreciation of the whole farm business environment and the profitability of decisions we make throughout the year. He is also keen to see the Farmanco agronomy team develop.
Brent lives on a small block just out of Albany with his wife and two children, where they keep a couple of horses and dogs.
He looks forward to meeting many of you at future Farmanco functions. Brent enjoys speaking to people from “elseware” and hearing how things are done in their back yard.
