David joined
Farmanco as our Moora based agronomist in 2009. He graduated from
UWA in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) with Honours
in Plant Science. David worked for Elders as a specialist
agronomist in Merredin for 4 years, advising farmers in the low and
medium rainfall zones. After a period of time travelling overseas,
he moved to Moora in 2003. Here David has developed expertise with
crops, pastures and livestock in the medium and high rainfall
zones.
David is an extension specialist focussed on sourcing and communicating information to broadacre farmers. He has strong networks with researchers, and industry. David enjoys working with farming systems and rotations, where he can apply his crop selection, crop protection, soil science, plant nutrition and livestock knowledge.
David continues to have hands on farming experience, as he is involved in share cropping on the family farm.
