When Farmanco first opened its doors in 1978, one of our first products was the Farmanco Facts newsletter. Initially just a few typewritten and photocopied pages, the product grew into a monthly publication for our clients, with contributions from both our own consultants and external contributors.
Over the past few years, in addition to the printed magazine, we’ve produced electronic versions of the publication emailed out every month as PDFs, available through the Farmanco App, and more recently, through a web-publishing platform (Yumpu). However, even with the electronic versions of the publication, it’s still been difficult to find specific information without having to search through every page. We certainly hadn’t made the best use of the rich catalogue of back issues — many of which were never digitised.
That’s now changed. We’ve launched a new iOS app called Farmanco Facts that enables you to search through our back catalogue of issues, as well as videos, sound files and ad hoc articles. We’ve digitised and uploaded newsletters going back to 1996. More video and audio content will follow.
While the other methods of accessing Farmanco Facts (printed publication, PDF sent by email and the last two to three years of newsletters in the Farmanco App) will continue to be available, we’ve given all current subscribers free access to the app for their first 11 months.
If you already subscribe to Farmanco Facts, you will have received an email with instructions on how to download it and get your password. If you’re not currently a subscriber to either the print or electronic version of the newsletter, you can still access the app and purchase a subscription through the Apple store in-app purchases — just search for “Farmanco Facts”.
The app is current available in iPhone and iPad versions. We have plans to develop a version for Android.
