Analyse - Innovate - Grow

At Farmanco we believe there is an ongoing need to provide research and development of new technologies.

We have been involved in innovative and important research since the 1990’s. In addition to our own research work, we work in conjunction with grower groups and funding bodies such as GRDC and MLA.

Our project and research efforts maintain three key principals, they need to be: Innovative, Tech Focused and Leading Edge. We are supported in our research by our own software tools, such as the Profit Series (enterprise level benchmarketing, with over 25 years of data) and the iPestbook (built on years of original research by Farmanco and our clients' experience of what actually works in the paddock), and our team of experienced consultants and project managers.

Analyzing GHG emissions data for farms and industries and finding cost-effective ways to reduce carbon footprint.

The project aims to analyse carbon emissions produced by agriculture at both macro (Rainfall Zone, State, Shire) and micro (individual farm, by enterprise) levels, for a single year and over time.

The objective is to determine whether different farming systems result in varying levels of carbon emissions.

Grain markets and customers are responding to various pressures by setting ambitious and transparent Sustainability (ESG) targets. One of the top priorities is to reduce supply chain carbon emissions. This project aims to develop pathways for growers to sell and be rewarded for delivering low carbon grain.

National Farm Financial & Qualitative Datasets - Farm Benchmarking Project: Phase 1

This project seeks to develop a comprehensive National Broadacre Farm Benchmarking Analysis Report for the grains industry. The report will analyse information from four of Australia’s largest broadacre farm benchmarking service providers to produce a detailed national report for the three-year period from 2018 to 2020.
