PROJECT OBJECTIVE

By March 2025, growers have the knowledge and understanding of how differing stubble architecture contribute value to their farming system, understanding the differing costs involved, can acknowledge the risk/reward profile and use this knowledge to apply the step changes required for profitability.

OUTCOMES

  • Farmer demonstrations: By February 2025, key learning from farm scale demonstrations of taller retained stubble systems will give growers the knowledge and ability to increase productivity on farm.

  • Extension of outcomes: By March 2025, outcomes of the farm scale trials and analysis of ROI will be extended to growers and advisors in the Western Region so that adoption of taller stubble retention systems is maximised and growers understand the ROI of adopting this as their farming system.
