Fertiliser Purchase for the 2027 Season. What is Your Plan?

Security of supply is very important, as many farmers found out earlier this year.
Current price signals favour an early purchase of compound fertiliser for seeding.
Look for opportunities in August and September to refill UAN Tanks, and/or secure supplies of Urea.
As of late July 2026, phosphate fertilisers (DAP, MAP) are trading close to their 2022 record highs.
Understanding WA’s Rural Land Subdivision Rules

Subdivision is tightly controlled.
Creating new lots is generally the exception.
Boundary realignment is the most common pathway.
Homestead lots can be created though.
Conservation subdivision is possible.
Lifestyle subdivision is handled separately and not encouraged in rural zones.
For many farming families, subdivision is not about carving up land for lifestyle blocks. It is often about improving farm efficiency, managing succession, releasing capital, or creating practical options for retirement.

From Paddock to Plane. Can SAF Lift Canola Demand?

Australia has the feedstock, but not the supply chain.
Canola is the strongest near-term opportunity.
New crushing and refining capacity is essential.
Government policy and demand mandates must come first.
Until then, SAF demand for grain is more ambition than market reality.
